Work on progress at Wellwa Railway Station by Signal & Telecommunication Sub Department staff to convert semaphore mechanical signaling system to modern Electromechanical Colour Light Signaling System.
Existing Colour Light block signaling system between Polgahawela and Kurunegala will be extended upto Wellawa. This will make train operation convenient and more efficient.
