On last Thursday (2019/09/19), a tree fell on to Matale railway line near Pathanapaha, between Ukuwela and Wattegama blocking the railway line.
Luckily, villagers and passengers helped Railway officers to remove the tree from the railway line and restore rail service as quickly as possible.
